[SPOIL] Cannot save Matt ...

Hey!
I've got an issue about the game. No idea if it is normal or not, but in every gameplay, there's no way to save Matt from the Wendigo ...

In my first gameplay , I agreed with Emily to go to the radio tower to get help, then I gave the flare to Matt, and I had no options to shoot on the Wendigo just before matt hanging ...

In my second gameplay, I disagreed with Emily to go to the Tower. Still gave the flare, Matt died the same way as before.

In my third gameplay, Emily got the flare, so obviously Matt died, but just in case I still tried.

How in the world can I save matt ?
All videos on youtube seems to show that Matt can be saved if Emily give him the flare... Which I did...
Can I get help ? thanks

Matt is the hardest character to keep alive and it's not only depending on that scene. Google "how to keep matt alive" and you will find detailed instructions for 3 different scenes you have to follow.

The website you just showed me is saying that, to save Matt, we have to disagree with Emily and take the flare gun..... Which I did.... So i'm really lost, i don't know what to do ...
Also saved the deer and tried to save Emily 2 times in a row...

You must jump into safety. If you stay with Emily, the Wendigo will kill you. No difference, if you have the flare gun or not.

Still works, but not 100% true. Both attempting to save her once or immediately jumping away is fine. The double prompt asking you to save her is pretty much the game's way of saying: "ARE YOU SURE ABOUT THAT?? Because there will be consequences."

Whenever someting like that happens, you should think about your actions carefully.

Another good example would be during the snowball fight with Mike and Jess, with the game showing you the bird twice before making the prompt to throw at it.
