* The reveal in the mines where you see the cages, in the uncut version these cages will be filled with the heads of whoever was killed by the Wendigo, but for the Japanese version, the cages are always empty. It's a shame, as this could have been done differently by having the whole bodies in the cages instead (which would have been acceptable under CERO standards)
Final judgement: The Japanese cut of this release is infinitely better than the 2015 release. But if you want the full experience, you should still hunt down the US version. On PC, that's going to be difficult as you won't be able to activate non-Japanese versions on Steam accounts where the store region is Japan. You're better off getting the game on PS5 if you can, as it's easier to buy and play the US version in Japan.
