"Nightmare On Ash Street" Achievement Help?

I'm having trouble getting this one. I've done two runs, one where I verbally choose Ashley in chapter 4 and then shoot her in chapter 6, and one where I verbally choose Josh in chapter 4 and then shoot her in 6. (In the first run, I believe Matt and Jess were both dead, but in the second they were alive. I doubt that matters but it might be worth including.) She let Chris into the lodge both times when he was running from the wendigo. Am I doing something wrong, or is the achievement bugged? Do I need to have a lower relationship with her somehow (perhaps showing a lack of sympathy and regret about what happened to the Hannah when walking through the basement with Chris)? Wondering if anyone else has also had this problem.

Shoot Ashley after pointing the gun at her. If you first point the gun on yourself, and then shoot it wont work, because than she will want you to shoot her. Also I'm not a 100% certain this is the case, but I think it is.
