Is there no sprinting in this game?

I'm liking the game so far but similar to The Quarry there is no sprinting it seems? Quite disappointed by that (and the lack of a map in some areas). But maybe I'm missing something

No. The game doesn't work that way. You can't avoid anything that's scripted to happen by running, so running is pointless. It's nightmare logic.

What I mean is I spent at least 10 minutes exploring the house the first time when it should have taken 3 tops

The Quarry has a map and I feel like it makes sense, especially when you get split up and I like the idea of seeing where everyone is. Aside from that some areas could benefit from a map

I just figured out how to sprint but it's rather odd.. if using a controller quickly tap the opposite direction you want to go on the left joystick, then quickly tap back to the direction you want to go in (within a couple seconds total) and you will will be jogging in the direction you want to go, however it seems to only last a few seconds. Still it seems to be the closest option to sprinting

Whaaaat? That's so weird. Why not just use LB like the last game did?

Yeah I really don't understand why you can never sprint in this game but in the cut-scenes people run like the wind
