No, the game will have the standard DRM on Steam and EGS that pretty much any game launching on a storefront not named GOG offers. As such, there is no advantage to buying it on Epic. Steam offers plenty more features which you can engage the game with, and you can obtain a Steam key from an official third-party retailer for cheaper than any Epic discount will give you. EGS is there for the contrarians or trolls like you I guess.
Glad to see that Tsushima thread about Epic was locked up tight anyway. There's no need for a thread about a launcher that's not Steam taking up space in the Steam forums. You can go use the Epic forums for that.
