[SOLVED] Can someone tell me how to play custom maps?
I'm getting tired of the default maps. I would like to try some custom made maps for a change. Where? How? Help me out :P

I play intermediate if that's worth to mention. I know how to host normal games... so, I just need to know how I can set up a game with a new set of maps, that would be awesome, thanks.

Eww, dont play Intermediate on custom/premade maps, its just so wrong and silly. You wont learn anything useful like this, but in any case you can download various colour maps at http://wmdb.org - im not sure how many maps fitting your taste you are going find there though, classic ground schemes are played on random maps so theres no point in drawing custom ones for these styles. Then put the .png files into your GameDir/user/SavedLevels folder. You can create new directories there as well. And then just select the maps in the game host lobby, from a drop down menu in the map editor (right click on a map generator to enter there).

But what about hostingbuddy? I downloaded this map as a test http://wmdb.org/15943 ...It's suited for Intermediate.

Its not really suited for Intermediate, as this scheme is best played on randomly generated map so you have different experience everytime you play. This is not Quake III, its worms. But anyway, go to the map page on WMDB and click "Play now" under the map image, it will automatically host you a game. I dont know how it works together with Steam version of the game, but you can find full list of commands at http://worms2d.info/HostingBuddy together with info on how to load WMDB maps ingame through HostingBuddy.

Unfortunately this does not work at the moment with the Steam edition, due to Steam's limitations. The easiest way to do that with the Steam edition would be to use the !wmdb command in the lobby of a HostingBuddy game ("!wmdb 15943" for your example).

Thank you! This is all I needed to know. Wow.. this means I don't have to download any maps. Amazing!

Every player is allowed to play the game however they want ;), I don't understand how downloading a new map would not give me a new experience or the same satisfaction to play a game I've always loved to play, so please explain your argument on that or whatever you were trying to say. I don't play Quake III.

I just gave you a friendly advice before you personally realise its kind of pointless to play Intermediate on these maps, and it will take some time, unless you are dropping by for 1 game per week and you are not planning to go deeper, then whatever. Fancy user made maps can be fancy, but dont get used to them.

Alrighty then.

I'm a casual WA player so that shouldn't be a problem for me.. I appreciate your help though.
