Custom sound banks not working?

Hello. I recently tried making a custom sound bank using the bank editor, but when I select the one that I made, it doesn't have sound. I've tried multiple things to fix it, like

-Renaming the files in all caps
-Taking .wav and making it .WAV
-Taking a speech bank from Data > User > Speech, dragging it into Worms Armageddon > User > Speech and replacing the sounds with my sounds
-Reloading the bank from BankEditor.exe

None of these things have worked for me and there is no sound from the bank.

I am on Windows 10 with a Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU 4417U @ 2.30GHz 2.30 GHz processor, a 4GB RAM, and a 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor.

Could I get help on what I'm doing wrong? Thanks!

how did you make those sound files? you didnt just rename the .mp3 to .wav right?

No, the files were already WAV files, and they were originally saved as WAV files.

and you can hear em just fine on your pc i assume? i made a custom one myself some months ago all i did was just replaced the files of an existing one with my own
i know there were 2 folders and i remember something odd happening there but i guess you already tried both folders? you said you moved it from worms/data/user/speech to worms/user/speech but did you try just editing one of the already existing ones in the worms/data/user/speech folder?

Yes when I go into the files and play them I can hear them. I tried duplicating a folder from the data section to the user > speech section and replaced it but that did no good.

but doesnt the game use the sounds from the data section? iremember from backing up game files that i used to back up the speeches folder from data (unlike before that i only backed the users folder). anyways im not home so cant check myself but if you want upload your files somewhere ( uploadfiles.io ) and ill get to them once im home (which i wont be for many hours though)

I will try moving my folder of sounds to the data section and see if that works. I will update you if it works or doesn't work


UPDATE: Moving my bank into the DATA section of the game did not work. There is still no sound. I have now tried duplicating a folder in data, keeping it in data and changed it to my sounds. Still did not work.

UPDATE 2: Editing a soundbank from the DATA section did not work either. I have no idea why it doesn't work, and I'm starting to think that my OS cannot change soundbanks.

i doubt it has something to do with the OS but no idea really. if you want i can try here tonight but youll have to upload your sound files somewhere
