What version is it?
Does it have those beta patches that added custom resolutions and stuff?

Is it 3.0.5.0 or 3.6.31.0??
CyberShadow Sep 12, 2012 @ 3:23pm
It's based on 3.6.31.0, so it includes all the fixes and improvements from it as well.

YES!!
Great to know, some re-released old games don't usually add complicated patches like that

Based on 3.6.31.0, version 3.6.31.2b...

Is there a list of the changes made after the last patch from all those years ago?
CyberShadow Sep 12, 2012 @ 3:49pm
The changes since 3.6.31.0 aren't currently available, but you can check past version history here: http://worms2d.info/Worms_Armageddon_ReadMe_(English)#Version_History

That's sort of a shame. I'm correct to assume that non-Steam users using 3.6.31.0 can still play with this new patch?

Yes, the Steam version is backwards-compatible with .31.0. The Steam version and the disc version will in the future be synchronised so the version numbers are the same, but the current steam version hasn't yet been released for the disc version of the game. It only contains a few minor bugfixes, as well as a new renderer which does a lot more in software so will in the future be a key part in getting the game to work well on Windows 8 (where the old hardware directdraw functions that the game uses are emulated very badly).

Anyone know if this is online-multiplayer or just local? Would really love to know.

This is absolutely brilliant. Works like a charm with no mucking about. Looks great, same awesome gameplay you remember, and - just wow - this game has aged well!

I was looking at my Steam library yesterday, sadly noting how I had Worms 1, Worms Blast, Worms Golf and Worms Reloaded, but no Worms 2, Armageddon or World Party. A few hours later, the preorder for Revolution comes out along with the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Armageddon I wanted so much.
I would have been content with the old, low-res version, but when I started it and saw it run in full HD by default, I was pleasantly surprised. The way I see it, totally worth the ten bucks, AND I get that new game as a bonus :D
