I am able to run the game correctly in Windowed mode but it is really small given my screen resolution and scaling. Issue only appears when I try to launch it fullscreen.
Edit: I just made a try and connect an external monitor to my laptop and it works fine on the second monitor. Even more strange: I tried it in "Duplicate" mode and it works like before on the laptop monitor :o !
However once I disconnect the other monitor, the issue appears again, even while game is running.
I noticed 2 other "old" games which seem to have the exact same issue: Tomb Raider 3 (original one, not Steam version) and Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine (Steam version). So it looks like a more global issue.
I really don't understand what is happening, especially as everything was working fine a few weeks ago with all these games. I tried uninstalling/re-installing all graphics drivers but without success. Can a Windows update from the past weeks be the cause?
here's a mod for a bigger frontend
https://worms2d.info/SuperFrontendHD
Thanks a lot! With the mod I am finally able to launch the game properly!
However the resolution in a party is still small, whatever the value I put in the settings page.
In the past, if I put a lower resolution, the game was like "zoomed in". Now only the window is reduced but zoom level stays at the highest resolution. The worms and text in game are really tiny.
A few weeks ago when I played with this resolution in fullscreen, the resolution was not only affecting the field of view but the size of the game elements (text, worms, terrain, objects, ...) That is why I used 1366x738 instead of 3820x2160 because with the later everything was too tiny and unreadable.
you can try stretching the game's resolution https://www.tus-wa.com/forums/worms-armageddon/activating-stretch-in-windowed-mode-on-3-8-32814/msg276031/#msg276031
Thanks a lot!
