All of the cheats are unlockable witihin the single-player modes. Some are unlocked by completing missions, some unlocked by earning medals in training missions, and a special feature is unlocked by reaching the highest rank in Deathmatch mode!

I think there are a total of thirteen "cheats" to unlock (although they're more like additional features to enhance gameplay), and they can be used in multiplayer matches (not single-player).

See, now I have a good reason to play single player.
Personally, I find the single player of this game boring and dry, and here is a big difference between Armageddon and Worms World Party. "Blood Mode" and other such enhancements were available right away with "Wormpot" which you could use online.

Good advice. But TeamED only works if you have this required file, COMCTL32.OCX.

Save it to C:\WINDOWS\system32

That's what the installer was made for. It resolves these issues, and also ensures compatibility with all Windows systems (since 95) and Wine.
Also, only copying the file was not enough, you had to register it, and that had to be done using a 32-bit regsvr on 64-bit systems, in a separate dir.
