Wow so much kicking? (awesome game though!)

Hi,, - i've played a few games now, and had forgotten just how much i love this game.

However, i'm now finding that i'm getting kicked out of almost every lobby?
After being asked "Rules" twice, and then being kicked immediatley, i looked that up and found out what 'rules' means :

But, a lot of people don't even get that far....

I don't really get it.

Is there some strange procedure i don't know?? ready up only after host,,, or something weird...?

and yeah,,, i would host my own games - but i've yet to configure my network as people can't join yet..

shopper has different rules from default worms
you need to type

"cak"

and follow the rules:
c = crate before attack. Before attacking, get a crate.
a = attack from rope. Always attack while using Ninja Rope.
k = kill the leader. Always kill the guy with most hp.

Exactly, the above will solve 90% of your problems.

If you're asked the rules and the game type isn't "shopper" just say "I know 'GAMENAME'" for example "I know WXW" or "I know hysteria" etc. You can admit you lied safely once in the game and ask the rules --- Page Down is the button to chat in the game. Most people aren't able to kick you once the game has started.

And usually it's best to PM the host to say the rules -- to do this just right-click their name. Do it fast before even saying "hi".

If you hate rules, just host yourself. People will join. And not all schemes have rules -- for example mole, intermediate, bow and arrows, and others

Kicking is normal, even if you do everything to avoid that. People often play among their friends, want to play with limited number of players, play league games, basically its their host and they are free to do anything with you, so best advice is to setup your network and people will play (or wont) by your rules. Check http://worms2d.info/Hosting_Guide and if for some reason you wont be able to setup it, try Last resort options from the bottom of the page (with the exception of Hamachi).

It is possible that their game is private, league, or has too many players, so it might be normal to get kicked in that case.
