Mac and Linux support is well planned[worms2d.info] to happen in future updates. The reason it can't happen any time soon is strong dependency on windows-specific features such as MFC. However, considerable work has been done into the game's updates to make the game run nearly perfectly in wine. If you install the latest wine with the game, expect it to run very smoothly. Many players play W:A using Wine today, and you should too.
