also, there's a good reason why you are given so much time and why you can still shoot even after the previous weapon didn't explode yet
keep in mind these were made all the way back in 1999
and yes, zook and nades are indeed trial and error
in case you need a refresher on keybinds, you can open the pdf manual located in game files
And as Charles said, the game is 20+ years old. ALL standards of game mechanics is just unfair compared to today. I am sorry but you are over reacting and as I said, you are at the start of training. It is not impossible at all.
Lastly, The games training is okay but its just an option, the selling point is the battles. Set up your team and start fighting the CPU worms. You will still learn the game and later when you understand it all, you can go back to the training and finish it. (something I have not fully done)

Few months ago I streamed whole singleplayer campaign so you can see it's possible to do it. It wasn't as easy as I thought, tbh.
Also, Armageddon community developer (Deadcode) was there in voice chat for most of the stream and gave some quality info from time to time. Hope it helps!
