its definitly worth for online play, i played tournament month ago wwith friends
It becomes ugly when you want to create your own online game, because this is done by manipulating your router/firewall architecture or learning lots of DOS-like commands to change game settings. Yes, you read it right. In order to change number of worms, colors or map or even start the game you have to type in a command.
Barely playable but once the game starts very playable.
