EDIT: Thought I would try the demo, 2 hours later...oh yerrrr. Core Keeper all over again. I am addicted, even more so as this has much more story. Which I am a sucker for.
I love the less pixelated graphics too especially on the characters. Love both games but I think this is going to be another hit for me!
If graphics are the sole point of review upon your selection process of 'good games' then you're never going to play one.
Have fun playing, no skin off my bones. This is however, a clear cut ripoff. Spice it up with all the anime girls and bootleg alternate dimension nonsense you wish, but it's too close to the other one to not be a clone.
In my opinion it looks everything like Core Keeper. If it was nothing like Core Keeper you wouldn't have to justify its similarity with the 'nothing wrong with getting ideas from other games' comment...in my opinion.
