In The Seven Acolytes, the Striver doesn't really kill any Gahars, but instead their vessels, the Acolytes. Gahars can't survive without their Acolytes however, so it's an open debate on whether there's multiple Gahar's in the universe of Morbid, or if those same Gahars have now possessed new Acolytes in the land of Ire.
Mornia has been cleansed since The Seven Acolytes, and the final Cathedral where you kill Odius, is now the safe haven of the Striver, and Thalas. This is the "hub" area where you start your journey in The Lords of Ire.
I just woke up, so excuse my English :D
