A bonesaw should do the job.
- check all loot spots always
- avoid fights when you can
- guns are better outside of combat than in combat
- Fight dirty, take your enemies limbs or blind them.
- Set Needles on fire for an easier time
To actually unlock the different skills you need to either build affinity with the different gods via drawing their sigils, FYI only certain sigils can be drawn on certain magic circles!! You will not get affinity for God of Fear and Hunger by drawing it on every circle you come across!! Its dumb that the game allows you to waste circles like this but tough ♥♥♥♥, this is Fear and Hunger.
The other way to unlock skills to buy is killing contestants. Be aware this means you actually need to be the one to fight and kill them, or their moonscorched form, yourself. A teammate dying in battle, characters dying offscreen, or most forms of self termination will not unlock their skills. In fact, those skills will be locked off for the rest of the playthrough. The best character skills is Samarie for increasing affinity for difficult gods, Marina to inscribe sigils on your face, Marcoh for physical, and Osha for magical.
