Thank god, might be able to pick it up again, fear and hunger mode was just too easy.

terror and starvation is just maso but without starting at day 3 - night

And I never play maso because starting at day 3 is lame. I enjoy the time mechanics so never had any interest in it.

Here's how the video description puts it:

"The new options at the start. I wanted these features in since the beginning but always knew they'd be a lot of work, and yeah they were. But glad to see they're finally taking shape.

TERROR x STARVATION is probably familiar to those who played the first F&H. A harder difficulty with new bs to challenge you. F&H1 had the torch system unique to this difficulty (among some other things), this time there is a new gimmick. All the difficulty enhancements of this mode also apply to Masochism mode, but in TxS you get the regular game, party members, and all that.

The second option with STANDARD, SET A and SET B determines the effigy locations. If you've played Termina already, you know they're the bulk of mid-game content. In SET A the effigies are in the same place as before. In SET B they are in 3 new areas not previously available in the game. So basically the mid-game can be very different and hopefully a fresh experience to returning players. STANDARD randomizes the locations so some effigies can be in previous locations, some in new.


Just a little while further to the release of the update. All the content I mention above is done, it really is mostly about small details anymore. Take that with a grain of salt as it seems like I've been saying "soon" for like 6 months now."

thanks for posting the video description, i only watched the embedded link and would have never thought to read it!

wow ok so that sounds really cool, I for sure will play the randomized mode whenever the update is released.
