Nah, release a patch that turns the game into a sample RPG maker game, then delete fear and hunger 1 and 2 from everywhere with no announcement.

That would cause more psychological damage.

Once Termina. Is finally complete(d), with all intended gameplay done (Contestants, LORE, errata.)

Now. As I've joked on a hearsay amount of places...

F&H3 is either, going to be a "Prelude" to the Old Gods. Or be "something RPG Maker Matrix horror show". But alas, you'll have to wait. For "at least 5 years" for it, maybe?

Games a Trilogy but the creator said something along the lines of it won't happen for 5 more years.
