Killing Daan on the second day?

Fulfilling the condition for ending C, I found Daan in a white apartment, but in the dialogues I chose the option because of which he left the location. Now I can't find him anywhere. Did I ruin the ending and now I can only kill him on the third day?

Ending c is the one where you eliminate all other contestants by the night of day 2 and then do other stuff without spoiling much. So the answer is yes ending c is ruined but B and A are still good . It helps to save in other slots for when things like this happen unless you are on an iron man a speed run or something.

If I remember correctly, Daan becomes Pocketcat if you fail to recruit him at the apartments, so in theory he should just be at the Museum during the afternoon and night.

This is correct, Pocketcat is Da'an by day 3 night, maybe earlier I'm not sure. You'll know if u have the opportunity to attack him lol.
