agility and armor
What are all the ways to get agility and what's the best armor?

all the good armors i get like fluted and makeshift have bad agility penalty's which never seem worth it

also is the shield you get for the head quest worth it?

small things amulet will boost your agility if you get your agility to 16 or above you get an extra turn for that character. I don't know if the shield is really worth it though I would rather trade the heads in for shards.

For the most part, the Bremen Chest Plate and Elite Helmet are the best armor, the combined resistance more than halves incoming damage. Combine with arm guards or a salmonsnake soul if you can for limb protection. Aside from Amulet’s, you can get +1 agility from the Fear and Hunger skill tree, +1 from Tanaka’s soul, +5 from using Marina’s engrave ability with the Fear and Hunger sigil, and Marcoh has the option to start with +2 agility.

The shield isn’t really that worth it, not enough magic using enemies in the game for me to really consider it.

i guess the best armor is The Darkness that is the drop of The Heartless One, and also everything from the last guy is right

sources of agility:
- (unique to Marcoh as the player character) choose "Footwork" during character history, +2 agility
- using the skill "Engrave" and choosing the Fear & Hunger sigil, +5 agility
- F&H's hexen tree, requires 2 levels of affinity with F&H, +1 agility
- Tanaka's Latent Soul hexen tree, +1 agility
- accessory, Small Thing's Amulet, +5 agility (O'ssa can start with it with full text character history, one from the ratkin in the sewer (requiring you to block the exit and has Mastery Over Vermin), one dropped from the ratkin ambush fight in the Foundation Of Decay, can be bought from Dr. Keffer for 40 shillings)
- (temporary Speed Buff) using Pep Pills, Brown Vial, or Fast Stance, +100% agility, lasts for 1 battle
- using Heroin, +30% agility along with attack, m. attack, defense, and m. defense, lasts for 3 map changes, causes Withdrawal

there are two [Agility Threshold]: 16 and 21
16 agility allows you to double-turn on every enemy *except* ratkins, rat hags, and Kaiser
21 agility allows you to double-turn everyone

good armors, in terms of progression, go from Leather Armor -> Chainmail Dress -> Bremen Chestplate
Fluted Armor is also good for limb loss prevention, but requires a STAmulet to offset the -5 agility penalty
Makeshift Armor is not worth it with its -10 agility penalty

all helmets prevent Concussion, with Bremen Elite Helmet providing the most physical defense, and also preventing Blindness
Death Mask is good for casters as it provides +20 m. attack

The Darkness is good, but requires you to access and defeat The Heartless One, which requires several specific steps to be taken (and you also get Red Virtue). I'd recommend dropping the chandelier to access the Church basement early, and drawing Vinushka sigil to get Sabbath

as a side note, the Suede Jacket and Kashmir Suit (from August and Caligura), while not providing much defense, give a boost to accuracy, evasion, and critical chance, thus are good for offense if you can avoid getting hit (easiest way is First Blood Golem + Pheromones)

Fluted is a good armor if you use it on a character whose only purpose is to tank damage. Guard always gets applied before enemy attacks no matter what your agility stat is.

Tip: Cast pheromones on a character who has fluted armor and guard applied. Then relax and use other 3 characters to beat the ♥♥♥♥ out of your opponents. This tactic pretty much trivializes most of the battles in the game.
