Marina is definitely a woman (with in-game proofs)

While sitting in discord with my friend, he told me that Marina is being crucified backwards to player pov (after being grabbed by the throat by the priest in mayor's manor). He said this was the proof of her being actually a man. I didn't believe him and we went to investigate which one of us is right.

So, we've managed to clarify that despite my skepticism Marina is really crucified differently from any other female contestants, but alas (for femboy lovers), when being saved by August and lying naked on the ground, Marina's body look quite similar to other female contestants (Abella specifically since we've compared Marina with her) with her breast cut off and groin area untouched (unlike the male contestants who have bloody mess left there). That is the only objective fact that determines that she's a woman (because her fathers talk is just talk).

Okay so everyone's getting really confused regarding this subject so I'm going to right some wrongs in this discussion.

Marina is transgender by definition but not due to choice in the same sense, when Marina was born her mother either removed her genitals (or used magic to change then, possible sylvan stuff going on) and raised her as a girl even though she was born a male.

As Marina grew up she decided that although she escaped from the worshippers and dark priests she actually felt fine settling for the gender her mother had assigned her at birth

This calls into question whether it's transgenderism, because although Marina eventually chooses to identify as a girl. the choice at her birth was made by her mother, therefor disobeying the definition of transgenderism, if Marina was never forced to be a girl, she may have stayed a boy.

My best guess for the picture above is 3 potential reasons.

1) Marinas genitals were cut off or changed, so the village thought she was a girl at birth, and cut off her breasts regardless of them being really small or just a result of gynecomastia from hormone imbalance.

2) since the developer has her identify as a girl, it just made sense for him to assign the scene for her to be treated as a girl character.

3) the villagers simply didn't recognize she was a boy due to no penis and just punished her the same way they normally would, not taking the time to properly check, remember you can cut off a guys breasts, they still have them, even though it's mostly skin and abit of fat/muscle.

This discussion is pretty silly and it's annoying seeing anti trans bigots and dumb liberals that are trying to their stubborn views on this series when it's not as simple as that.

If I force a kid from birth to see themselves as the opposite, it's a high likelihood they will stay that way due to them being used to it, not because of their own brave choice that makes them happy, but because I manipulated them into it. Same can apply to everything from this subject to raising someone racist or sexist, there is a high likelihood this stuff sticks.

I hope people enjoy the game, I loved that Marinas gender was not shoved down the audience throat, there is far more interesting detail that can take priority over her gender, because if marina does not really care, neither should the audience, she's got bigger fish to fry then her own gender identity, which thankfully she is quite at peace with.
