August soul and ending C.

Do I understand correctly, that the only way to kill August and get his soul (for ending C, so before the day 3, when he kills himself) - is to ambush him on the morning of the second day, in the western part of the city under the store, where he kills a mob with a Bow? Is it possible to find him in the afternoon, evening or night of the second day?

I remember you can find him in the forest near to white columns, but i'm not sure at what time exactly (maybe it's day 3, but definitely after second day morning)

for my friends' and my game play, we found there are several ways to find and kill August
1:In the second day, go to stairway down the orphanage as you said, turn left and August will appear,and kill a Half-coconed man by a bow.
2;In the third day morning(Not sure if it is just the morning ), he will appear in the deeper woods, by a campfire. You can talk to him and he will tell you the history about the cruel age. There you can attack him.
3.in the third day afternoon(Not sure if it is just the afternoon), go to the place in deeper woods which has White columns, tall trees, walls and lots of yellow leaves. August will kill a fecal hound and then you can attack him.
