If you reach the tower and touch the door when there are other contestants in your party, Rher will moonscorch the party and force you to fight them. In my game Daan spoke to some voice, made a deal with it and made me fight Pocketcat. I am assuming this is because Daan doesn't have a moonscorched form like Abella or Henryk.
you can try to fight him on Bohemia museum, and spoiler for daan character if you use daan as character and fail to get any ending till day 3 over(just rest till it end) you will have a scene where you talk with pocket cat and in the end you became the pockec cat yourself
I was wondering the why, myself, given that there isn't much of anything to go off of from my personal playthrough. All I could come up with is just speculation on my part from playing as Daan and surviving to day 3. But the way I read it, it came across to me as a potential cycle of abuse situation. His parents were devout in their worship of Sylvian and they do try to teach him her ways in his intro. Maybe some implications there. We know what Pocketcat does and it isn't uncommon for abused to become abuser. For another point to this, Sylvian worshipers wear the rabbit masks - Pocketcat has a furry comment.
The creator is pretty approachable with this sort of stuff. I imagine that after some time has passed from its launch that you could ask, even if it's just in private. I would be curious to know, myself.
Right yeah, Cycle of abuse does sound like it could be on the right track with the Sylvian thing in the intro, Just did a playthrough as Daan myself and that part about his parents in the intro did make me question that :x. Also rip Daan getting called "degenerate furry"
And thanks yeah, I'd be interested at some point in the future to read/hear the creators thoughts on certain things like these, a "dev log/diary" or directors commentary I suppose.
Glass doesn't work.
Anyway I ended up defeating him. Karin had the salmon snake rune and he kept targeting her. He's just really tanky. I wish his dismemberment move had a coin flip at least.
