Vomitorium post patch

Hi All,

Not sure if it's just me but I think the vomitorium's jump pad at the end of the slide might be bugged. I had completed this level a number of times pre patch and just decided to try it then and I'm finding the pad jump doesn't projectile you far enough to land in the fenced in area.

I'm also finding it's easier to stop on the slide now too.

Anyone else tried it yet to confirm? I'm gonna try a few more times to test a few other things out but let me know what you think?

I did a couple of runthroughs on the vomitorium using Doug as a test, and each time I hit the Bounce-pad at the end of the slide, its always managed to land in the fence/girder walkway inbetween where the Elasto-modes are located. I don't think I have any control to brake/accelerate in midair to put myself off-course.

Not sure if it matters, but which character were you using?

i was using lorelei. Yeah i used to land in the fence no problem before, I think it might have something to do with me getting stopped easier by the boxes in the slide now for some reason.

also from the distance it looks like the spinning wheels aren't spinning from the invisible bounce pad square. I'm really wondering if that's true lol cause it'd make that section really easy xD

Edit: just tried it a few more times, same thing each time, once i even landed somehow just next to the bounce pad's platform and just jumped on it and it still default just misses the fence area :(

unfortunately no i have no game recording software. If i could get some easy to use one i'd give it a go.

I was having the same problem with lorelei not reaching the platform after the jump pad.I think what i did was try different spots to jump to on the slide the best tip i can give really.

I'm having the same problem, I'm using Thi and the jump pad always puts me just short of the fence area with the superballs. I don't have the means to record video but I can provide a screen.

Nice test video Reptile what'd you use to record it? One thing i'll note is when i held forward i'd go speeding so fast i fly out of the slide, and slow the small bumps cause me to compeltely stop sliding was never did that before.

I fall about as short as John's pic there, I'm gonna play around with it again when i get time, what you've said Afterhours is what i'm thinking of looking into. It's just a bummer that before the patch i'd land in there 95% of the time but not anymore.

Might also try some of the other characters too.

The recording software I used was FRAPS, set at to record at 60fps but at half size.
Regarding the slide, I tend to hold backwards to slow myself down, making sure I have collected all the coins along the way and that I don't go flying off into the nether.

I have seen on a stream where the person arrived at the end of the slide, hitting the bounce-pad and overshooting it completely, so I have a grasp of the issue at hand atleast.
Try replicating what I did for the first test in the video and see if that helps at all.

ah right FRAPS i've heard of that many times, prolly time to try getting it.

yep pre patch i've over shot it a few times, it's literally makes you go "how the hell" but laughing cause it's like superman speed.

well i just landed in there but it only just landed in there, right on the first pinball powerup. Managed it by luck with me not stopping completely on the slide when i held back.

Although it does feel like somethings changed to basically make it that with lorelei i can't land in there as easy now :S

Also the wheel thing started moving properly when i was about 2 metres in front of it

I tried again with Doug and it stops me in the exact same spot, just short of the superball fence part. Then I tried with Lorelei, and I'm getting inconsistent results. If I slide down normally (doesn't matter how I hold the movement keys) I always stop short, but if I manage to go over the jump pad and hit the block at the end of the slide, then manually jump onto the jump pad, I'm usually (not always) able to make it to the fences (and even land on the edge sometimes and bypass the superballs entirely). So I don't know how, but I do know it's doable.

The farthest I've made it is the yellow block ferris wheels but I'll get it some day.

basically i've been suspecting theres something funny about that jump pad post patch, and/or the slide itself. cause for me it never was an issue before. I only used to have a problem with the rotation wheels of death which i'm fine with now.

Edit: I got the free version of fraps (need the full one i think) but i got a 30 sec video me landing in the fence area. Also noticed your in the leaderboard reptile above afterhours :P

30 seconds is all that is really needed, just record from ontop of the slide, and what the result is down below.
Also I may have given Vomitorium another complete run through for ♥♥♥♥♥ and giggles... heh.
