Quicksaves were added later to the game, so yeh its kinda buggy. maybe later version made the quick saves even more buggy. just try to finish it with less quicksaves i guess.
also dont just only play the single Player, there is also a Multiplayer.
We play mostly on saturdays, lots of custom maps. if you need help with anything just feel free to add me, or look in the Rise of the triad chat room.
i had no crashes at all, but i did found a bug with the gold key in e4m1, i couldnt open the door even though i had the key. It only happened once and was probably triggered because i quick saved allot on that map.
I'm not sure why it crashes so much for you, but i know allot of other people have this same issue. Maybe it could be because of your pc specs?
What are your specs if i may ask?
Also maybe try to verify cache, since you already tried with both 32bit and 64bit an physics on and off, uhh i dont know what else could be the problem.
So my guess is 64bit might cause it a little bit more.
i always had trouble with the 64bit version, its pretty bad.
but since you also have issues with the 32bit version i dont know anymore.
make sure to turn off physics in this game, when disabling physx in launcher make sure to press the accept settings button, or else it wont save it.
even though u use a older card for physx, i think physx might be a bit broken.
Also have you tried verify cache?
and are u sure u used both 32bit and 64bit?
32bit works better for most people, for me it wont even start on 64bit.
And I second the recommendation to try the 32bit version.
