This game crashes all the time
so, it crashes on E2 on quick saves all the time. it seems to crash also very randomly regardless. I've tried every graphics setting, physx on or off, 32 bit, 64 bit, this game is freaking awesome but the I'm not sure if I'll ever make it through the game due to crashes. I'm afraid I'll have to just leave a bad review since I can't return this game anymore, otherwise I would, I can't stand replaying many many times due to crashes.

where did you quick save? sometimes the place where you quicksave might be a problem.
Quicksaves were added later to the game, so yeh its kinda buggy. maybe later version made the quick saves even more buggy. just try to finish it with less quicksaves i guess.

also dont just only play the single Player, there is also a Multiplayer.
We play mostly on saturdays, lots of custom maps. if you need help with anything just feel free to add me, or look in the Rise of the triad chat room.:Lorelei:

So i tried to get my game to crash on 2 different pc's, i quick saved allot on on episode 2 and 4.
i had no crashes at all, but i did found a bug with the gold key in e4m1, i couldnt open the door even though i had the key. It only happened once and was probably triggered because i quick saved allot on that map.
I'm not sure why it crashes so much for you, but i know allot of other people have this same issue. Maybe it could be because of your pc specs?
What are your specs if i may ask?

Also maybe try to verify cache, since you already tried with both 32bit and 64bit an physics on and off, uhh i dont know what else could be the problem.

im sorry to spam you, but i insta crash when i try the 64bit version.
So my guess is 64bit might cause it a little bit more.
i always had trouble with the 64bit version, its pretty bad.
but since you also have issues with the 32bit version i dont know anymore.

Thanks for your help Gijz , I'll give this game another chance, I was just so pissed last night after my 4th crash on the same level. I do have some wierd PC specs. I'm running a 6 core Xeon running at 3.8Ghz, so that isn't common. Then I just upgraded to a 1070 GTX AND I have a 660Ti in there too for physx, although I've tried setting physx to use just the 1070. I also run the game at 120hz since I have a gaming monitor. I have 16Gb of ram and Windows 10. Lastly I have a 32bit PCI sound blaster X-fi which is also pretty uncommon to still be using pci sound card. I guess I should check a game crash log? do you know what file that is?

the logs should be here: http://puu.sh/rIrun/befb7bad3c.png
make sure to turn off physics in this game, when disabling physx in launcher make sure to press the accept settings button, or else it wont save it.
even though u use a older card for physx, i think physx might be a bit broken.
Also have you tried verify cache?
and are u sure u used both 32bit and 64bit?
32bit works better for most people, for me it wont even start on 64bit.

Never use quicksave in E2L2 and E4L4. That's 2 maps from the top of my head where quickloading causes a lot of crashes and inconsitencies (like doors that stay closed).
And I second the recommendation to try the 32bit version.
