Is this made with RPGMaker?
I really enjoy RPG Maker games.

Nope, I created the game's RPG engine using Python and used Renpy to display it. Considered RPG Maker, but a lotta people seem to hate it and I had no visual assets going in.

Renpy is excellent for that, very dev-friendly for basic text/image display content.

I bought your game just for being responsive on the forums, rare with devs these days.

Aw, thank you! That is very kind of you, I appreciate it a lot. I try to check Steam forums a few times a day, but if you want faster responses I also lurk the Discord throughout my work day.

Hopefully the RPG elements of this game are strong enough to make up for it not being RPGmaker haha, I put a lot of time into trying to improve the battles and customization.

I like both, I know that Renpy can be quiet useless with RPG elements too. There another game on steam you play the role of a super genius and you have craft and stuff too, to advance story. I can't wait to see what you have done.

Haha, in retrospect I maybe wouldn't have made the game in Renpy if I knew how much work went into making a full RPG engine from scratch and some of Renpy's foibles, but way too late to go back now - porting it to another engine would be months of dead space, and I just want to keep going. If I ever get to a game 2 I'd consider an alternative engine.

Well either way looking forward to what you do next.
