Hate this game... Difficulty curve?

I wish I hadn't bought this game, even with the cheap discount price. The campaign starts out fine enough but then it becomes seemingly impossible. I feel as if it's less a strategy game and more an impulsive puzzle game. As though each battle requires linear actions and placements to get through, and not an open way for you to play how you want.

I might just be bad at this game, but I've played enough similar games before to know I should be able to get further along then this. Even in the first skirmish, the other side, even with less income inducing buildings then me, keeps spawning more and more enemies then I can possibly keep up with.

The art and sound is nice and polished, although obviously a game made for mobile devices. I hadn't realized that...

I get the feeling that you're supposed to buy experience points to be able to get on top of this game.

I totally agree. The side quests to get exp are just as difficult, so spending more money on exp is their goal here.

totally agree. .rubbish phone "game", not a strategy, just a linear puzzle. another driving mad concept of the game is that sometimes one man can slay a three man unit, though they are of the same type and there are no bonuses in play.. silly randomness..

Even with all experience upgrades (i used... less reputable ways to increase my exp) and the game is relatively hard. Its not much of a strategy games as it is a puzzle game.

I managed to finnish it without microtransactions, it's hard but do-able. The hardest mission I remember was on a bridge or something and you had a limited amount of units to get across. Only had to do 2 more challenges (last side mission and last mission) to get 100% campaign completion but after reïnstalling I lost all progress..
