Shogun: Total War was a first game from Total War series, but that game has NOTHING in common with "Total War Battles:Shogun" (well, apart from the name, which is quite similar).
By the way, Shogun: TW is available on steam, here: http://store.steampowered.com/app/345240/ . It passed the trials of time and still is a great game (after 16 years!) - much, much better than TW Battles Shogun.
Got the warhammer one and man were those battles unsatisfying to me. each one being around 5-10 min, with army routing and just chasing them down after 5min. Even had a battle with 2 ful stacks vs 2 full stacks and it lasted 11min of game time total. Think i got the "you have won, would you like to chase fleeing units blah blah" around min 6.
