I'm aware they would take the servers down for a patch, however as stated in my post, it is no longer under maintenance and is giving me a mismatch version error.
So that would read to me, as the game should have an update or a patch of some kind, but it isnt telling me it can update.
If the servers are still down due to the patching that's fine, but it saying version mismatch instead of 'servers under maintenance' confused me.
Do everyone a favour next time and just give a straight answer.
Thanks everyone for the quick responses
You can't be condescending if you're gonna type something like this.
The answer to your question was a mere 30 seconds of research away, far faster than typing up this thread and waiting for answers.
You read a line from the first part of their response and ran with it. They said that on the title screen, rather than there being something saying the servers were down (like there were earlier today) it instead says that they have a version mismatch error. And when you click to login the error appears again on the center of your screen.
In the season update notice they posted, not once did they mention this so it's understandable to be concerned or confused if you don't know what's going on. I've had the version mismatch error since midnight today (technically when the day rolls over) and the neither the "Survival Guide" nor season 0 notice mentioned it. Yes, it mentioned the expected times that the updates would be occurring and what they would be working on. It can be assumed that the game is down because of it, but you would also assume that the message would say "Server under maintenance," and "Version mismatch."
Also, unrelated side note: I had never heard East coast time referred to as "EDT" before, all my life I've seen it referred to as "EST - Eastern Standard Time."
