Is something wrong with my eyes or does it look worse than SE5?
Just like title states, textures are sharper in this one but I have constant feeling that SE5 looked better. Especially characters. Like Germans you kill look better than MC and other characters that talk to you...

I know what you mean. I think they cleaned up textures so they don't have so many jaggies all over them. But everything has this kind of dated low resolution look to it. Harry looks way less detailed than any of the characters in SE5.

I've also noticed that the guns don't seem as punchy, not sure exactly why. The sound effects are way better and deeper than in SE5, but there's just not as much visible impact when you see a bullet hit something. Not sure if they were going for more realism or if they just cheaped out on the visual effects.

I see no noticeable difference, the game looks virtually identical.
Animations can lift up or drag down the perception of visual fidelity. Getting stuck on stairs, being unable to vault low walls, or invisible barriers stopping grenade throw trajectories, for examples, can make the game look janky and unfinished -- a. k. a., "ugly".

It's a "new" game! give time devs to fix the bugs and glitches making reports! they probably didn't find the time to test and check the game during the alpha and beta, they were on another game project so, for fan of the franchise, released this one copy and paste from 5. How to feed your dog for stop barking.

Actually, the game was mostly developed by "Wushu", whose logo is displayed prominently at the start of the game, Rebellion outsourced development of the game. Wushu failed to catch the bugs. And if you really have no time, you can always hire external playtesters. The fact this is a proven game engine and basically the same game as SE5, only with new maps, should have meant that bugs are minimal. Yet rifle attachments are not unlocked, you get a pistol medal for nothing, there are various noclip errors (most prominently in the Kill Hitler level), enemies spawn inside of each other. Enemy AI goes crazy and some Germans begin to spin in place until you shoot them or never leave the alerted status. And bugs which were reported for SE5, directly to Rebellion, by SE YouTubers, are also still in the game. They didn't bother to fix those either. These are all things playtesting should have easily found before launch and the known SE5 bugs could have been fixed.

They either DID find these bugs and said "we'll fix it in a patch later and launch anyway (a common occurrence actually)" or their playtesting was extremely superficial. None of which is an excuse for anything.

Or they decided to not care because it didn't hurt their sales.
Last night I went back to SE5 to see if there's really a difference...and honestly it feels like SE5 is way more polished in terms of animation quality, especially when it comes to the physics of enemies during the X-ray kills.
