i hope they finally leave the world war 2 setting. i like the sniper elite games but i have enough from this world war 2 setting.

While everything you say is true the issue is that most people would give you a blank stare if you mentioned Heydrich. You do not sell games with "you can kill that super evil Nazi you probably never heard of" but with "Kill Hitler!".

I think Heydrich could at best be a more elaborate kill list target in one of the regular missions. Even Heinrich Himmler doesn't have the name recognition of Hitler, at best I'd include him as a bonus target in a Kill Hitler mission, You do not sell games with "Kill Himmler!"

A "perfect setting" would probably be Karl infiltrating a meeting go the Nazi leaders and then you get to kill not just Hitler in hilarious ways, but also folks like Himmler, Goebbels, Goering and maybe even Heydrich. Of course that would be a lot more work for Rebellion, but since Resistance is such a lazy release, maybe SE6 will surprise us with offering us a lot more ;-) (I joke... I do not believe this really).

Should take place in Vietnam War Era...so many possibilites for a Spec Ops Game like this. Booby Traps, tunnels, secret entries, jungle warfare, camoflage skins etc.

I like the idea of a Vietnam sniper elite. I also like the idea of a pacific or eastern theatre sniper elite. Just Please more sniper elite games.... I need the pink mist.

You're not wrong. I hope SE:6 is done by Rebellion and not WUSHU. They were given SE:5 to modify to make SE:R, so most of the development had already been done, and they made a worse game with many new bugs and cut content.

They tried that with SE2..it didn't look too bad, but, you have to wonder how it did on sales for a remaster to become interesting.

modern day devs are too scared to have any real world enemy outside of nazis.

I'd like to see a mix of locations and protagonists in one game . A Russian sniper in Stalingrad. South Pacific with a British sniper . Guadalcanal with an Australian. Normandy landing with a Canadian. Etc . I really like that many locations in the whole series have been based in real locations. I'm not saying they are historically accurate.

There have been so many wars and conflicts. Vietnam, Korea, Iraq, Afghanistan, Somali Civil War (Battle of Mogadishu), ...

Or something completely different, a special forces sniper in the drug war in Mexico.

I think one of the troubles with moving away from WWII is very few wars have unambiguous good/bad guys. If they were to tackle something like Vietnam for example, I'd love to see them do dual campaigns, utilising the same maps, with different objectives; one playing as an American sniper and the other as a Viet Cong sniper.
