The only logical place they could go is the pacific theater. The european theater has been done to death in this franchise.
If anything Sniper Elite could do with some spinoff games that take place in other wars. Hell I'd love to see one take place in WW1 and see how they could craft a sniper game with the trench warfare, tunnel digging, and other wild experimental ideas done in that war.
Le good black resistance fighters.
- Open World with a huge map
- Allow sabotage
- have a dynamic enemy faction that is affected by your actions but also omnipresent.
- basically is Red Faction Guerilla meets Far Cry 2 but in WW2 with coop in Nazi Territory and with more reactions from the world to what you do (cut ammo supply lines, the enemies sometimes dont have enough ammo to shoot for some time etc).
At that point, i would jump in instantly.
I don't mean this with any disrespect, but maybe Rebellion needs to move on from making games...
I mean, I still have "fond" memories of them botching Evil Genius 2, starting to offer refunds but then quickly switching gears and instead banning everyone who voiced any kind of criticism. Needless to say, I haven't bought anything Rebellion ever since, so I haven't been following them closely - but my impression is the failure of EG2 doomed Sniper Elite 5 to be worse than its brilliant predecessor - and that, in turn, led to even more modest budget for this game.
Why am I even here, you might ask? Well, I was just watching my local youtuber who made a video on games releasing in 2025, and this game got a grand total of 30 seconds of coverage. Otherwise I'd have no idea this one exists, I kid you not. Meaning the marketing budget was basically nonexistent. And now I'm looking at it and I'm getting heavy ELEX 2 vibes - overall low quality, asset reuse and stuff. That game killed Pyranha Bytes, so I wouldn't expect any other outcome here as well.
Nazis are indeed bad. If you disagree, you are a problem to be solved.
No, players want more gore, more enemies, more vehicles, updated movement and animation, more Survival, and to be able to walk up and down stairs without glitching out.
Just to be clear, I don't grind one game for years. If anything - I'm the opposite of that. I play different games, some new, some old, some good, some bad, typical enjoyer. The point is that I play every Sniper game on release since the first one because I really like the series. And if there was a huge difference between 1 and 2, also big change from 2 to 3, smaller change from 3 to 4, even smaller change from 4 to 5 and no change at all from 5 to Resistance. Series need to evolve.
Dude stfu..
