SE4 and SE5 definitely look quite different. I didn't play any of the previous games.
And if you managed to get bored with SE4 and never finish it, then no, there's no reason for you to come back for SE: Resistance.
And SE: Resistance is not supposed to be a totally reimagined gaming experience but rather a convenient bridge between SE5 and SE6 for people who want to keep themselves busy playing a new campaign rooted in SE5 while waiting for SE6.
How close do you have to be to Karl to actually notice any hair movement on him? Waste of time and money that could have been spent on something else.
Features that are much more critical in a future SE game is better gameplay, better AI, more enemies, better level design and interesting and challenging situations that organically arise from all that.
Not visual bells and whistles that don't really add anything substantial to the game.
Nice 2 have features - nothing more.
Btw:
Finish SE4 & then play SE5.
U will notice that gameplay etc. have changed a lil bit.
There is coop-invasion & more.
Obviously there must be some changes in graphics of SER.
Otherwise the minimum gfx card wouldn't be a 2060 RTX.
Zombie Army 4 almost seemed like a new or improved engine, given how polished it was... But, that may have just been product of its longer developmental gestation period; seeing as it had four "seasons" content added to it as an offshoot of being an temporary EGS exclusive. That, or it was a "A-team" who made that game, versus the "B-team" in SE5... dunno.
I'm satisfied with the game's look and overall gameplay; albeit, the characters' actions are becoming a tad "stiff" by today's standards. It's really just the environment interactions -- doors / windows, downpipes, vaulting, roof access, props, destruction -- which seem to be in stasis and/or regressing...
Then….
“I haven’t played SE5”
WELL PLAY IT BEFORE COMMENTING!!!
SE5 is undeniably graphically superior to SE5.
A game engine from 1999 obviously couldn’t deliver what SE4 does, never mind SE5.
Stop trolling and spouting “alternative facts”. The entire thread is a nonsense.
Don’t bother. No one needs to hear any more from you.
Maybe he/she will have some interesting insights after that - there's always a chance ☺️
