After 60 hours of the game, share some personal thoughts here.

Before the game came out, i was thinking if it's an DLC or just copy and paste of SE5.
But now my thoughts completely changed, Sniper elite resistance is better than SE5 for some reasons.
For the graphics, has little upgrade from SE5, if you check the grass, you can find the shadow was a little bit sharper.
Map design is better than SE5. Some SE5 maps are too large and cost too much time to explore. Resistance fixed this issue, all the maps have a balanced size and distance. Sometime you can even complete your objective faster like mission 3, find out resistance memeber's hide. Very fun
Sniping is better than SE5. The sniper's location are perfect in the most maps. You must find them and eliminate them in a quick way. Some of them react very fast. Or sneak behind and knife them.
Finally, M1 Garand returned. I love the ping sound and fire rate of this rifle very much.
For these reasons, SE: resistance is better than SE5!

My feeling is your sentiments will not be shared by many...

I personally found the maps to be annoyingly small, with way too few enemies. Yes, sniping is a much more viable playstyle now, which is nice, but I miss the more expansive maps from SE5 where you had more things to do.

Hmm to be fair I like both se5 and resistance, there are issues that irk me though, not being able to get ghost kills with pistols, AI melting into staircases where you cannot search them, rouge fort is especially bad for it at the top end of the map, making it compulsory to play modes in the single player game to achieve a perfect game on steam, if i wanted to play against others as in have an invader or play pvp I would go back to battlefield and cod where you can usually choose sit back and snipe or run and gun, please be aware designers some of us just want to play single player stuff and we do not mind you including other types of games within for others but do not make them part of completing the game.
To get the pvp medal, I tried just hiding in a map until the end, I got found and shot so I obviously knew where the guy was so I returned the favour then hid for the rest of the map, now that exchange will never convince me to play pvp, tdm whatever.

yeah no this game is a masssive downgrade compared to SE 5 and while i enjoy this game it's just a bad SE 5 ripoff. Graphics are for some reason WORSE than SE5 and the general polish is really bad compared to the previous one. It shows heavily that it has been outsourced to wushu.. They should have focused on SE 6

i see people on servers are only more disappointed every day, cuz we only discover new bugs:

- binocular tag immunity for random players . huge problem to even have fair game with this
- m44 gun settin0g makes you invisible on miniradar when you shot loud, without supressor... :/ dude is standing few steps away from you, ano you will not notice him on radar, and direction of shot too - cuz echo location is broken as well.... is this sound like equal fair game with plenty of people just exploiting this cuz they noticed, and they know what is going on.... sad :

I'm similarly disappointed as others in this thread, but I'm still enjoying what we did get. I only play the Campaign though (and a bit of the other single player stuff like the Propaganda maps and I might try the Survival mode maps) never multiplayer in any game.

It's still a Sniper Elite game :-)

They will fix (and have fixed some of) the bugs.

P.S. I think the Lee Enfield is the best gun in the game this time. Quiet with MKII-S suppressor, good handling, high enough fire rate (the Garand's is limited by practicality because of the recoil) and enough damage.

my thoughts exactly, I have every achievement in SE5 and loved it, loved invasion. I'm really struggling to find the motivation to even play this one.
