I apologize if this is against the rules, i don't want to be banned, just wanted to know if i should pre-order or not, im very security conscious with my PC and installing this type of software on a kernel level is not something I want for my singleplayer game.
Is this actually confirmed? Denuvo anti-tamper and anti-cheat is infused in-game and we wont have the option to skip anti-cheat?
I only play the SP, and when I click on Co Op or Multiplayer I get the message that there is no Anti-cheat software installed and that I need to install it to be able to play. So I'm guessing that's your confirmation...........
Thank you!!! I assume you are a youtuber/reviewer or playtester and have the game early? How is the new protagonist compared to Karl?
In any case, thank you for confirming that I wont need to install any
anti-cheat program
P/S Love your BIA Baker avatar, one of the best WW2 series ever made, will never forgive Gearbox for not giving us a final game.
I was only speaking from experience with SE5.......... but I would assume it would be the same for SER.........
And I'm still waiting for Gearbox to finish the Baker story!! We were promised Bastogne at the end of Hell's Highway...........
It cant be that difficult for a dev to respond to this.
It shows the below message as of this posting date/time
"Incorporates 3rd-party DRM: Denuvo Anti-tamper
5 different machines within 24 hours machine activation limit machine activation limit"
Under that message there used to be another one that said.
"Incorporares kernel level denuvo anti-cheat, requires manual uninstallation"
Which is no longer visible, hopefully that means they are using a different method?
For those who dont know Denuvo anti-cheat and anti tamper are 2 different pieces of software, one for multiplayer cheating and the other for piracy protection.
Thank you!
Why would i want install a piece of software i am never going to use (its useless for me i am never playing online) for one game only?
and why would i run windows under VM for only one game?
I am interested in the singleplayer offline experience ONLY, my question is very simple can i or can i not skip the install of anti-cheat?
i just want to now if i should buy the game or skip it.
People run vm's for online banking or pron. or exclusively for retro or gaming in general.
If people have such privacy issues they need to secure their boot OS before even using windows for day to day use. If denuvo is so bad then just buy a console instead.
Your problem is solved with a console which does everything you're wanting, offline, no denuvo. I know several guys who just play the sniper elite games only on console.
or, if you want to be much more modern on privacy, run vm's like any pro user does.
