Thinking about getting this
Have been reading a lot of bad reviews which i know often happens and would like some honest reviews especially regarding denuvo which seems to be the thing nowadays and it seems to tick a lot of people off . For the record I have played most of the SE titles last one being SE5 and I don't play multi player so my question is how badly will this affect my game play ? And I have checked my specs on my p.c. and it can handle it ( RX6800XT) 16G

I do not play multi player either, very rarely I might go in for a look but do not really bother participating, I like the single player game, it has some tough challenges on authentic but nowhere near as difficult as some earlier sniper elite games, maps are nice to look at with some really nice touches, for the most part the game runs smoothly, chose run and gun or stealth on easier levels, run and gun is not really a thing on authentic.
The survival maps are wholly disappointing as they have only bothered to make 2 of them although they have added another 2 from SE5 but I find that really disappointing, there is a new mode of challenges called propaganda where you gather posters in the campaign and it unlocks challenges/maps where you pretty much run and gun or stab your way to victory, I'am definitely not a fan and wish they had used the time creating more survival maps, if I wanted run and gun I would be playing COD.
I do think the game is overpriced if you aren't interested in multi player and propaganda stuff, however everything is overpriced nowadays and you should not let all our moaning on here influence your decision, just remember we all like different things.
if u like 5... u probably like this one aswell...
Denuvo is not dangerous so it's fine to buy this game if it's your only concern. It has the potential to be a major PITA though: When it works, which should be most of the time, you'll barely notice it, on the other hand when it craps the bed, it goes down hard.

Denuvo needs a recurrent online connection but not a constant one so you can play offline for a while. However, the duration of the offline token is at the liberty of the publisher and is never disclosed. If you do something Denuvo doesn't like, which could be due to anything from OS changes, to crashes, updates, cloud gaming... it locks you out of the game for 24 hours at which point you need to go back online to re-validate.

You can see it happening on video here: Can't play MH:Rise because of DRM (live in front of 60k viewers)[clips.twitch.tv]
Also if Denuvo servers are down on their side, games without a valid activation token will not start, online or not: https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/a-great-day-for-drm-as-denuvo-lapse-renders-tons-of-games-temporarily-unplayable/

That is a bleak picture, however I have not had any problems, hopefully it will remain so

Yeah, it's once the server closes permanently that we'll see their true intentions: will they remove it? will there even be a company left to care at all? They have made no commitment to preservation whatsoever and unfortunately, history isn't on the side of blind trust when it comes to gaming companies and upholding long term ownership of DRM-protected titles.

Thanks everyone for the info the reason i'm asking these questions is because I've played these on PS4 and PlayStation had the annoying habit of dropping out .
My internet connection is good so don't think that was the problem more than likely my country ( Australia) so the main question would be is there any difference between PS4 ( too cheap to pay $700-1K) and PS5 and computer where the CPU is in close proximity to modem .
I have always found a pc smother running than a console, mine is hard wired into the router

Thanks for your reply murderer silly question do you use keyboard or game controller ? I use the old faithful F130 for my truck sim ( ets2)
Mouse and keyboard m8
Lots of buttons on my mouse, I have them set for different things, reload, jump/climb, melee, aim, change weapons etc, you can of course customise them to your preference

I have a Razer gaming mouse, similar to a Basilisk V3 but older, better to hard wire your pc to the router for full speed, easy enough to get long Ethernet cables, yes buy a new optical mouse, I have tried wireless a few times but prefer a wired one, only drawback is you need to route it properly so it doesn't snag, but on the bright side it's always where you left it, using the keyboard is not slow in the least, I always feel you have more control than on a handset, you just need to set up the buttons to your preference, depends on whether you are right or left handed, I use the arrow keys for forward, back, left. right, I use end for pacify, delete is a function I use to crouch or let go off a ladder etc, right shift is sprint for me, right control is focus with the scope, m _map, and a few other buttons in the area of the arrows I use for other functions, all adjustable in the set up menu in any game, yeah I have beat the new map in soft mode, went back in and took the authentic long shot, will go back in and beat the whole map on authentic now too, I already got all the collectibles in that map, but I had to play it a couple of times because I counldn't find two of the collectibles, it was the binoculars, I dunno how I missed them first time round but I did, and the other was a document in a small building near the middle of the map, first time round I plastered that area with a flare gun but never went for a look.
And yes I like the new map, it's got lots in it, and to be fair I like the other dlc map too but it's a bit small, would like to be able to knock down building like you could in Battlefield Bad Company 2 which is my favourite single player game ever, I have beat that so many times on Authentic it's probably unhealthy.
New map is now beat on authentic, it was more difficult than I anticipated, seemed to be more snipers in it than on softer modes, either that or I didn't shoot them all first time.
It was fun and I probably play it again on authentic just using the pistol and knife, that should make it really tough.

Have been watching videos of this i like the fact that it has some "Hitman " elements to it just curious though in the base game you can take out a target with the crane can this be replicated in Striking Target ?
e.g lure a guard to the tower shoot the hook and the guard has a nap lol!
yes there is one at the dockyard you can do that with, i'm thinking there might be another near the centre of the map, I didn't do it, at the first kill target from the original starting point there is two flare guns available, I chose them for a bit of devastation.
