I have just found the painting but I can't remember if I got a message of any kind.

I have explored the church with the bell and I get the idea I should be searching for something as it keeps pointing to the meters where something is supposed to be.

Yes your correct Axe those indicators where Objectives are supposed to be are wrong in a lot of circumstances , this was also a fault with certain maps on SE4 ,
in this circumstance the words " Dead Drop " lead me to look for a place where some one could fall off the Church ? but no it`s a Painting and the prompt to interact with it via the E key. By the way i play with head phones on and up there on the Church the Bell drives you nuts.
