Where is Karl Fairburne ? Who is this new protagonist ? I didn't like it, was it a vacation ?

The SE: Resistance storyline happens in parallel with SE5.

That said, I wonder if any of the characters from SE5 (including Karl) will have at least a cameo in SE: Resistance. That would be cool.

I'd like it if the "secret weapon" the nazis had in this one was actually a captured and brainwashed Karl Fairburne that you had to find and had the choice to either save or kill.
That would be a cool change of pace for the game's finale as opposed to blowing up a big piece of equipment that happens every time.

Poor Harry Hawker, he has his own voice lines but when he gets out of breath he suddenly has Karl's voice for his wheezing sounds.

Sounds like 'Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty'! You play as Raiden, a character that plays along side Solid Snake, the main man of the series. You get to see the main character from a new perspective. Great game, btw. Best in the series, in my opinion.

I hate it that i have to be "one of those guys", but a new Sniper Elite game without Karl is like Half Life 3 without Gordon Freeman. You can build a relationship with a character over multiple games and then all of a sudden drop in a new protagonist. It would've been ok if that new guy was dropped in an expansion pack or a DLC, but launching a game with him just felt so wrong to my boy Karl.
