RE4 had a really well paced storyline, however, which I'm guessing is the deciding factor here.
RE5... seems to have been made for good action and co op fun. This game is basically an interactive popcorn movie, and depending on your reaction to that, you'll either love or hate it haha.
Edit: If you need more proof, play RE6 and you can see the direction they were going in with these 3 games haha.
First of all, Resident Evil 5 was the best selling games for years (Capcom Ganes).

I think the whole idea was to play it with a partner, co-op, not Solo with A.I., so not same type of game anymore as RE4 Solo was/is...
And when you mean popular, do you refer to RE4 original or Remake ?
Resident Evil 5 don't have an Remake, atleast not yet...
If they do, will be a BIG hype to play RE5 Remake... new players, old players..
