Is the Steam Version the "Gold" edition?
Is the edition on Steam the Gold edition with all the extra DLC areas, and side stories?

Unfortunately no. The DLCs were never released for the PC version.

Thank you for the info.
No I was looking for the Add on information and couldn't find anything.
The one with Jill and Chris really adds to the game..

They said flat out there were no plans to release the DLC for Resident Evil 5 on PC, so we're hung up high and dry on this one as usual. Capcom really doesn't care about PC gamers they want us to move to console

Not really, there were different times back then. Resident Evil 6 has all the content and even exclusive features in PC.

I heard that they will be removing GFWL from the game eventually. Maybe they'll release the DLC then too! That'd be awesome

Me too. Because I own 3 copies of RE5, the standard and gold edition on the PS3 and the PC version here on Steam.

I don't want to play the PS3 version again (Which I did the first few times before the gold edition came out) just because on PC I can play the game at super high resolution with a stable framerate with good AA.

Plus if they transfered the GFWL achievements to Steam Achievements, that'd be pretty awesome too

yeah it would be, I like that they're getting rid of it at least, I hope Capcom will allow that to happen because it's like they don't want the PC version to have all the same capabilities as console, as for playing it multiple times I did the same thing and now I can't even look at the box art lol
