Bugs found in RE5 (Steam) so far + links to fan made fixes for some...
Updated 29/07/15 to include latest bugs/fixes found.

Bugs remaining after Patch#1

Stages.
• Chapter 6-1: Ship Deck. Sometimes Majini with a key-card can't jump down after spawn and you can't kill him to get a key-card.

• Desperate Escape Stage 1. Some enemies, like a Chainsaw Majini or Gatling Majini, can't get out from the container.

• Ugly waves in Chapter 2-1: The Port (not a stage bug actually, vfx bug). Not fixed. {LINK REMOVED} <<Screenshot.
• Chapter 3-1: Marshlands. Area with crocodiles on the east. After restart from the checkpoint, crocodiles enemy set will be cycled to infinity respawn. Changing stage files doesn't help. Not fixed.
• Chapter 3-1: Marshlands. North area. If you place the mines before picking up the quest item, they will disappear while cutscene playing and appear after cutscene's end. In GFWL version, mines will stay in the cutscene and enemies will hitting mines in cutscene. Not fixed.
• Chapter 3-2: Oil Field - Refinery. Restart from the checkpoint, after killing one or both Chainsaw majinies, will cause enemies, that you've killed before, to respawn. Not fixed.
• Mercenaries. Container's collision bug in the Ship Deck stage. Not fixed.

Misc.
• Games for Windows Live is required to launch and play the game. FIXED by Mulac.
• Unable to give or request weapons from AI partner in campaign. FIXED by Mulac.
• Region lock when searching for the game lobby. FIXED by Mulac.
• Loosing equipped weapon after death in versus mode (except Jill BSAA). FIXED by Mulac.
• The game shows incorrect country flag when you host a game session and when you upload scores to the leaderboards. FIXED by Mulac.

• Slots scheme always sorted for gamepad usage in mercenaries and all Gold Edition content. In GFWL version they are switching if you are using keyboard and have numerical scheme ON.
• Turning ON anti-aliasing will result black outlines on the characters and objects.
• Static title screen. "Resident Evil 5" title is not animated.
• Private slots when hosting a Mercenaries, Mercenaries Reunion, or Versus lobby doesn't work properly. Client accepting invite (or choosing "join game" when selecting friend in steam) will get a "The player limit has been reached" message.
• During the chapter result screen in co-op, if one player chooses "OK" and second player lets the 60 second timer run out, the game will soft lock for both players.
• When hosting a LAN-only server, friends can still join via the internet by sending them invite or having the friend choose "join game" when selecting you in steam.
• Lost in Nightmares static camera angle Easter egg (interact with front door 3 times) isn't fully playable with mouse and keyboard controls (aiming gets stuck to middle of screen).
• Collision bug, where players and enemies could get stuck in geometry at framerates above 30 is mostly fixed, but it can still happen when playing at 120fps, and it has a very low chance of occurring when playing at 60fps. Its behaviour is now identical to how it was in the GFWL version.

• Majini's eyeballs bug in the Desperate Escape. Very dark-red eyeballs, as example.
• Warrior chris and business sheva not unlocking for original game owners
• On mercenaries reunion, in "Experimental Facility" Stage, enemies ´ll stop spawn after you kill 78 , tested it several times and was playing with Rebecca, tested with 30 and 60 FPS cap, not tested in other stages but it may happen in others too.

Nice. Think I'll wait for the patch though, and come back for one or two of these if anything doesn't get fixed in the update (haven't got the DLC so nothing particularly bothersome for me)

I have just reintalled if after the transition to steam. My god; please tell me they haven't broken another frigging game by removing that crappy gfwl. It seems no game can have it removed without a host of problems being introduced.

Only a hint for who can't start the game, downgread the driver (nVidia, tested by me and a friend and worked) to an older version. The most recent I tried and worked was 285.62. You can play almost all games, but recent ones will run in lag.

wbacon [capcom]: Because we're trying to import achievement progress (and not just save file), it requires users to sign into GFWL. This is where things get super tricky because as many have experienced, signing into the GFWL client or the GFWL service through the game hasn't worked reliably

wbacon [capcom]: no plans for that. RE5 was a different case because some folks wanted to continue playing with DX10 for Nvidia 3D vision and...folks who wanted to play with existing fan made mods that only worked on old GFWL version

Still no answer on exactly when we should expect a patch but there is one coming and it is confirmed to includes fixes that will kill the need for some mods that correct bugs that the game has on steam now

not sure if issue but title screen background is static image .the blood cells use to move in the gfwl version and steamworks they dont move.

Good thread and exciting news.

I found something strange and I think it might be a bug.
When I play the standard non-gfwl re5(not gold edition), I'm not able to unlock the 4th costum, aka the OL Sheva, only "?????". But I've unlocked all the bonus features related to costums. I also have finished the game twice and collect all 30 BSAA emblems. I heared that this costume was unlocked once the game is finished for the first time in the origin GFWL version.

So is it a bug or not? Or are there some different methods to unlock this costume? Big thanks for anyone who helps.

You now have to buy DLCs to grab those costumes. Considering they were free in Gays for Widows version, you can pretty sure say it is a bug.

Samus, did you mention the unworkable 16-layer AA? Some folks did say they were recieving troubles with both X and XQ versions.
Also, if you have PS3's or 360's Gold Edition, could you please check the Burton's Colt Python model? Because in PC's Gold it is just the Smith 500 with custom barrel, same as in Rev 2, but something tells me that in console's Gold it had the actual Python model from Remake.
