about giving a weapon to your partner

i have played this before, but recently i noticed that i cannot give my weapon to my partner (Chris/Sheva)

did they change the setup?

It's a bug. Honsetly the GFWL version may have been better. Now that's saying something.

i was doing a video gameplay when i found out that i cant give my weapons, but items are exceptional

the only thing i can give my partner is only ammo or healing items

You can only give weapons to your partner if they are AI or don`t have that weapon.

They did that so playerss can't use the inventory glitch to pass weapons and items to other players.

I was under the assumption that, except for when playing with the AI, that you could never trade weapons with your partner. This way, one person who had just beaten the game couldn't come into a 1-1 player's game and give them the BFG5000 Handcannon.

Having played on the Windows Live version and 360, that's how it always was as far as I remember.

you only can give weaponds to the AI in the Inventory, not while in game.

the only items i can share with Sheva is either bullets or items, but weapons is no. the only method i can do when organizing their weapons is restarting the game

It's GFWL feature, not bug. I also remember I gave an improved weapon to a partner. We can check it, I can still play the GFWL version. My old 100500% saves still work. Let's check if anyone has the disc version. You can add me for that - we can make a video to YouTube. ;) I want to check it, once and forever. I will buy and upgrade the gun and try to give it away.
