You took the extra costumes away from now gold edition users.

My friend doesn't have gold yet and he suddenly doesn't have those 2 costumes. Those were given to us pc users before gold edition even came out on consoles.

Maybe you just have to unlock costumes now, like when you're playing the console versions?

Safari Chris - Complete all chapters
Clubbin' Sheva - Complete all chapters
S.T.A.R.S. Chris - Complete all chapters and find 25 BSAA Emblems
Tribal Sheva - Complete all chapters and find 30 BSAA Emblems

I'm referring to business sheva and heavy metal. Those have no unlock requirements.

edit: Meant to say road warrior. Heavy metal, a very similiar costume is still gold edition and we never had that.

I'm pretty sure the costumes did not get taken away. To unlock the costumes, you must complete the game. With the Steamworks release, you must create a new save (for now), meaning that you do not have the costumes.

weird, i have the BOTH the Buisness outfit and Heavy Metal outfit unlocked already from the start.. so no issues here.

They probably ported the gold edition directly. PC users got the skins as an added bonus for the pc release but they were in the gold edition anyway. So they were probably treated like gold edition content since they most likely looked at a diff between the console versions and not just what needed to still be added to the pc version.

On launch I have the skins without needing to unlock them but my friend who hasn't bought the dlc does not.

There's no unlock requirement for them. Everyone who owns the pc version should have those costumes regardless of if they own the dlc or not. That's how it's been since release.
