Does not support NVIDIA GeForce 3D Vision?
Directly from the store pageof the base game and dlc:

"Does not support NVIDIA GeForce 3D Vision which came with the original Games for Windows - Live version."

What the hell, this game looked great in 3D. Did anyone try it out with nvidia 3D vision yet? How bad is it?

Direct X 10 support was removed because it was buggy as hell and didn't work correctly a lot of the time, hence lack of official support for 3D vision (which requires DX 10).

Lame. I hope someone mods this soon. I enjoy using the 3d mode on my laptop.

The removal of the 3D Vision support is a huge disappointment. The game was rated "3D Vision ready" before and looked great in 3D. I think 3D Vision was even advertised when the game came out for PC in those days.

Yeah, what the heck. They downgraded the game.... removed DX 10 and 3d support. It doesn't make sense. Can I get my old version of the game back?

Then how come I played this game successfully in DX10? Am I special?

i been playing mercs nonstop and i never once had any issues, lag, crash, bugs...nothing

believe it or not. the DX10 was a problem with Windows 7 for me. After i upgraded to Windows 8.1, it was working 100% fine.

You still can, provided you're playing the GFWL version.

The DX10 version worked for some people, but didn't for many others.

he said "played" as in in the past...im pretty sure his game got patched as well

So I have to buy a physical copy of the GFWL and then I can get my 3d and DX10 back?obviously I assume I can't connect to the internet due to auto patching.

I have the patch but still have GFWL. But 3d vision worked just fine when I played the standard campaign a bit.

Have any of you even tried it???? Or do you have the steamworks version?

EDIT I do have the steamworks version actually, and 3d vision still works fine....

Hm, it actually seems 3D Vision still can display the game in 3D. It just doesn't realize it as "Resident Evil 5" and calls it "launcher". There's ghosting though from which I'm not sure if it was there before. And I'm pretty sure the opening credits were in 3D before. Now they seem to be just a video that can't be displayed in 3D.
