Windows 10 Issue
I'm having a problem loading this game on the latest build of windows 10. It ran fine in the previous windows 10 build. Any other windows 10 users having this problem or is it just me?

The issue is this.
I launch the game in DX10 and then the game loads but quickly crashes and it tells me the RE5 has stopped responding.

I've tried many of the fixes listed on this forum.

At this point I'm just curious if it is a windows 10 issue and if anyone else has this problem and maybe come up with a solution?

What build are you using?

Build 10041

I would go back to the previous build you were using.

Ya the fast build is more buggy than the slow one.

Same here. My GFWL copy of the game is crashing, both on DX9 and DX10 modes, with this build.

Uh? 10041 is being pushed to the Slow lane RIGHT NOW. Windows 10 is a beta OS. Everything is buggy, no matter what build you're using.

It worked in the previous build so I was just curious if anyone had it working in the new one. Anyways thanks everyone for all the comments.

why would you use a preview build of windows to play games? LOL

Might be stating the obvious, but have you tried running the EXE in Windows 7 compatibility mode?

The game doesn't even officially support Windows 8/8.1 as it currently stands, so I'm not surprised you're having issues with the beta builds of Windows - I'm more surprised that it even worked at all with the previous build you were using.

This is a common bug introduced when Microsoft published a DX11 update back in 2010/11 in Windows 7 and subsequently, the same problem happens in all newer Windows versions.
If anyone has time, install Windows 7 and DO NOT update it. Install the game and try.

Untill Capcom releases the GFWL removal update, just use the DX9 version of the game.

Did anyone find a fix for this yet? DX9 and DX10 both crash on Windows 10 latest build.

Yes, don't use a BETA OS.

Seriously, it shouldn't be used as a daily OS.
I doubt you'll find a solution.

Obvious troll is very obvious. Go troll elsewhere.

Troll?
What the hell.

I'm stating something obvious.

I'm sorry if you don't like to be told the truth.
Windows 10 has various serious bugs.
Application breaking bugs.
Adding to the matter, current drivers are unstable (AMD and Nvidia)

I seriosuly doubt you can fix it untill MS fixes their OS.

I know what the cause is. The good news is that once the Steamworks version is released, it should work fine on Win10. The bad news is that Win10 will not work with the GFWL api, it just crashes.

Says it all really, GFWL isn't even future compatible #fail. Roll on Steamworks patch!

Are you sure you have the latest version of GFWL?
And not the one that ships with the game?
