STARTUP CRASH FIX GUIDE!!! ITS WORKS!!

Hi there. If your game crashes at start - you need to do this easy steps, and it will work in 99% chance .

Part 1 . Drivers and Settings .

1. GO into the resident evil 5 folder>CommonRedist>vcredist>2005> and install both C++ files (vcredist_x64 & x86)
   
2. UDPATE your videocard driver to the last version
   
3. TURN OFF(it's better) Windows Firewall or add RE5Resident Evil 5 lol to Firewall exception .
   for WinXP - Win7 http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-xp/help/networking/using-windows-firewall
   for Win 8 http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/windows-firewall-from-start-to-finish
   
4. TURN OFF your Antivirus or add RE5 to Antivirus exception
   
5. DELETE Windows Update - KB2670838

Part 2 . stupid annoying system GFWL.

1. DELETE Games for windows live redistributable and Games for windows marketplacewhen you delete one of this , second should be deleted automatically too
   
2. Download MS Games for windows from this link http://download.gfwl.xboxlive.com/content/gfwl-public/redists/production/gfwlivesetup.exe
   
3. BEFORE you run SETUP, set the properties of the setup file on COMPATIBILITY MODE with Windows 7 and also CHECKED the field Run as Administrator
   
4. After setup launch the MS Games for windows and closed it, then copy files
   xlive.dll
   xlive.dll.cat
   xlivefnt.dll
   xliveinstall.dll
   xliveinstallhost.exe
   FROM folder C>Windows>SysWOW64> TO THE folder C>Windows>System32>
   
5. OPEN re5dx9.exe.cfg in notepad . In the line <OriginalXliveTarget>2.0.0687.0</OriginalXliveTarget> your version may be other change version to your version of Games for windows marketplace . It is shown in
   Control Panel -> Programs and Features .

Part 3 .Final step .

1. Open C:\Users\Username\Documents\CAPCOM\RESIDENT EVIL 5
   
2. Open file config.ini in notepad. IF you DONT HAVE it download it from http://www.file-upload.net/download-10624952/config.ini.htm
   
3. Change
   [CPU]
   JobThread=X ( X= your cpu cores)
   RenderingThread=ON
   
   TOO
   
   [CPU]
   JobThread=1
   RenderingThread=ON
   
   
4. Open Properties of the re5dx9.exe on the compatibility tab and change it to follows:
   
   - Program compatibility mode: Win7 . IF YOU HAVE WIN 7 YOU NEED TO DO IT TO!!!!its seems idiotic but it really important point
   - Disable display scaling on high DPI settings
   - Do NOT run as administrator

Part 4 .Lets Play.

1. OPEN Games for windows marketplace , login and dont close it.
   
2. RUN THE GAME!!! from desktop.
   
3. ENJOY

This point help me from crash game start 70% but on the story mode sometime crash , did not test at all.

RAM : 8GB DDR4
Window : Window 7-64bit Ultimate
About DX9 and DX10 : I don't know , I just launch game from Steam !

How do I run DX10 ?

startup->programs-> resident evil 5 ->settings (or something like this ) . now i'm in work , when i ll came back to home , i ll see how it names correct . and its important - do you made all steps in my giude , and changed config file(its most important! ) ?
