Hi i cant say Ive ever played this one..is it a single player or multiplayer etc?

That co-op part was the reason why it become CAPCOM's best selling game evee for a lot of years...

Solo with AI, is not the best way to play it.

co-op mode with a human partner and communicate (voice call), that is the best way to experience RE5.

ive checked the versus mode there is no one i bought this game just for that and its empty where are the 1000 people playing ? i want to play versus with people i had a blast playing it on my ps4 but it broke is there anyone playing versus a group or somthing ?

Your best bet is to get lucky and find a community that do "private" games. Your never going to find anyone with matchmaking.

Long Answer: No, but you really want multiplayer cause the AI partner when you are alone can die very easily.
