I'm going to guess that your chip will not do much better than half that, and that might require 1280x720 or 1024x768. But it's just a guess.
Supposedly the Intel HD 2500, 4000 series and later were heavily improved compared to the older Intel integrated graphics. Note, also that I have a lot of RAM to use for video memory and that I use Windows 7.
You could try, but if you do, be prepared for possibly needing a better video card, if you are able to put one in.
The Resident Evil 5 engine runs very smoothly and very well on the Intel HD series. It also looks great. Your CPU is probably ok, it's the gpu that is in question.
For one you should try :) the game is really cheap right now, and there is always the refund option
:D But honestly this game is not that intense, I would say you could at least do on lowish settings, which doesn't look that bad.
