how coop on steam in 2022

how can i play with a steam friend?
i cant find any good guides

Dunno if you already solved but just start a campaign mode,if you see carefully the window that opens before you start the chapter you can see that you can set it on Online or Offline and decide to make it Public,Private or Invite Only.
If you wanna play with a friend just put Online and Invite Only then you can right click on him on your friend list and send him an invite.
For the other modes you just have to select Duo\Couple\Co-Op (whatever it's called in your language) after you click Start.

Creating Lobby:

Play Game
New Game /or/ Continue /or/ Select Chapter
(Select Chapter/Difficulty/Character)
NetWork Selection = Online
Co-Op Settings
> No Limits (Open Public Lobby)
> Invite Only (Friends Only)
> Rogue (Offline Game)

Then, While in ItemBox Menu (Before hitting 'Ready'), hit Shift-Tab (Steam Overlay)
Right Click on your friend
"Invite To Game"
*Done*

Connecting To Friend:

Hit Alt-Tab (Steam Overlay), right click on friend, and if he have lobby ready or Open,
"Join Game"

Connection to Others:

In Main Menu "Join Game"
Quick Mach:
(This will show you few lobbyes 10 at maximum)

Custom Match:
*Leave all "none spec." or select, what you are looking for, then hit "Search Start"
(This will output 10 lobbyes, on that specific Settings)
